PHIL! I have been loving your voice ever since I heard you and Wendy Moten sing the closing song on one of my favorite movies, Mr. Wonderful. I HAD to know who belonged to that voice! Your music has soothed me almost everyday since then. There’s a song for whatever is going on in my life. And to top it all off, your concerts are off the chain! You sang to your wife at one I attended and it blew me away! So much love for the lady in your life. I understood, then, your inspiration. Keep on doing what you’re doing. BTW, you look great!
Phil you are really a great man. My husband simply adores you music. When you came to visit South Africa we were at your show at the Market Theatre. My husband framed our tickets and we had on of you CD covers enlarged. So he framed the pciture with our tickets. He has all your music DVD and cd’s. One one he enjoys the most is the dvd with Dave Koz. Your music has a meaning in our lives
DEAR PHIL MAY THIS NOTE FIND YOU AND FAMILY IN GOOD HEALTH AND PEACE. I HEARD YOU ARE IN THE STUDIO AND IF YOU NEED A SONG, I HAVE ONE FOR YOU DISTANT LOVER! THE LIVE VERSION MAN, IF YOU UP TO IT PLEASE CONSIDER. I CAN FEEL IT ALREADY IN MY SOUL.MARVIN WOULD SMILE ABOUT IT. DR. ALI

Some voices are carried by angel’s wings and that is how I describe your voice. I have followed you for many years and will continue to do just that. All a person has to do is simply listen to the voice and watch the emotions on your face when you sing and they will know that what you feel is real. I am part of a website that loves you as well. Maybe one day we can have a 15 min interview with you on our blogtalk radio show. I sit back and listen to your version of Call Me and it never fails to raise goosebumps. Your voice is amazing as well as your spirit.
i know this is going to sound crazy, but i have been a fan from the early 90s and i remember you sang the theme song for a cartoon. i really liked it (your theme song) and i was trying to remind my now older children of what it was and i can’t remember. help!
You have been blessed with a wonderful gift. Your voice is awesome and you have shared this gift with your many fans, of which I am one and have been for many years. Thank you for sharing your talent and your music and for making a difference in so many lives. I look forward to seeing you in Miami for the Super Cruise. God Bless and keep you safe in your travels, and may He embrace you and your family with love.
Made it to the party, Phil. Site looks great!! I hope all is well with you and Lillian. I’m missing your interesting conversation during our “lunch dates” but I’m hoping to connect with you sometime soon again. We need you north of the border, my friend.
THANK YOU PHIL PERRY FOR ALL OF YOUR MUSIC! ESPECIALLY THE SONG “DO WHAT COMES NATURAL”, IT’S MAGIC ONE HEART ONE LOVE,THE BOOK OF LOVE AND THE LIST GOES ON! GOD BLESS YOU AND I’LL BE PRAYING WHEN EVER YOU COME TO WAS, D.C. I WILL SEE YOU. PEACE!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! HAVE FUN IN CHATTANOOGA,TENN. MY PARENTS BETTY AND ISAIAH GLOVER ARE FROM THERE AND MY AUNT BARBARA JOYCE GLOVER WILLINGHAM, SHE USED TO TEACH AT RIVERSIDE HIGH AND HOWARD HIGH SCHOOL. TAKE CARE.
Phil, my friend – I respectfully call you that after seeing you for the first time last evening at the Mableton Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA. The show should have ended with your wonderful performance. I love your artistry. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. May God continue to bless you!
First, glad you are doing well after your illness. Saw you at BB Kings with Melba Moore in NY recently. Still at the top of your game, baby. And yes, I have the CD (along with all your others).
Needless to say Phil, I am a great fan. Indeed, I’ve been admiring your incomparable voice and vocal skills for no less than 38 years.
Yes, since 1972. (I was a year old at the time).
And when I say incomparable, I’m not just talkin’ trash. There is no one, and I mean no one, who sounds like you and who does what you do like you do it. Period. In fact, I, along with many of my acquaintances, often hear tunes, particularly some of the remakes, and often end up saying, “This guy is doing a great job, but Phil would have really turned that mother out (e.g., “You’re Sweet, You’re Fine, You’re Everything” by another excellent Shanachie artist who deserves much respect).”
A little background…
It was during that year that I first got hip to the Montclairs and your voice. At first, I thought there were three lead singers; and I remember the day when it first dawned on me that two of them were you! And then there is that incredible second verse to “Beggin” – my first impression was, “Damn, is this guy ever gonna come up for air?”
And then you were gone. Two albums with a fellow Montclairs alumnus and lots of session work and other collaborations. My sentiments? This guy deserves better. And when “Heart of the Man” came out I said, it’s about damn time! I also said, “Damn (I say “damn” a lot), this guy’s voice just gets better and better – he wasn’t doing all that in the 70s!)
I could go on ( hey, we’re talking 38 years here!) but I’ll spare you. Suffice it so say that you have brought much joy to my life for many years. Thanks.
Take care of yourself and be well. There is only one Phil Perry and he is irreplaceable.
See ya on the Angela Bofill cruise in NY in October.
Phil, you are the man! One of my all time favorites by you, is “Forever.” I could listen to that song over & over again. Thank you for blessing us all with such beautiful music, and I can’t wait to see you here in S. Calif… I’ll be there with bells on!!
Thank you for the invitation to be apart of your website, I love it!
I have had a chance to listen to some of your music and I truly enjoy it. I remember sitting with my dad at Kevin Sandlins house listening to you guys sing when I was a little girl. I am glad that I have grown to truly appreciate the beauty of your music. I hope you are coming home soon to bless us with your smooth sounds.
Stopped by to wish you and your family forever joy and blessings. Having you as a guest on our blogtalk radio show was out of this world! We cherish the time you shared with us.
I wish that you would be a guest performer on
American Idol. The children need to hear the master sing. No one puts emotion into a song the way you do. Your music brightens every day for me! Stay well. Much love to you and your family.
Phil, Phil, Phil. I am hooked. I met you about a month ago after a conerr you did in San Francisco for Miss. Angela Bofield. Your voice has made me fall in love with music all over again. i am 25 years old and I feel that the current music industy is robbing the youth of talent such as yourself. I now listen to music with a new ear. It is astonishing to see a 25 year old women “shout” from your music as if I were an user concert. I dont know if you remember when I told you this but you are what R.kelly assumes himself to be as well as other. I now tell my friends that if you want to set the mood right, ” Play some Phil Perry baby.” They always respond with “Who is that?” Thats when school is in session. Now when hear you rendition of “If Only YOu Knew”" coming from my room I know what time it is. Please come back to the Bay Area more. I request you on as apart of the lineup for every concert that comes to town. As a favor to music and love please, please, please consider touring more or putting forth a new album. I wish you and your family blessings. I mean teach a class or something. We just need more you.
MY DEAR BROTHER, MAY JEHOVAH BE WITH YOU & FAMILY.THANKS SO MUCH, FOR THE MUSICAL JOURNEY INTO THE MULTIPLICITY OF LOVE FROM YOUR HEART’S CORE.BEING THE 9TH WONDER OF THE WORLD OF MUSIC & THE PROPHET PRINCE OF MUSICAL PASSION IS A PLACE WHERE FEW HAVE IF ANY HAVE BEEN AND WE ALL ARE PROUD OF YOU,ADMIRE YOU & NEED YOU.
